Introduction
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) provides extra security for your Wacky Services account.
Even if someone obtains your password, they cannot log in without a one-time code from your 2FA app.
Step 1: Download a 2FA Authenticator App
You will need an authenticator app to generate 6-digit login codes.
- iOS: Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator (available in the App Store)
- Android: Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator (available in Google Play)
- Desktop: Authy Desktop app (Windows/Mac/Linux)
Tip: Use Authy if you want to sync 2FA codes across multiple devices safely.
Step 2: Open the 2FA App and Prepare to Link
- Open the authenticator app you installed.
- Choose "Add Account" or "Scan QR Code".
- Do not close the app; you will need it to scan the code from Wacky Services.
Step 3: Link Your Authenticator App
- In the app, select "Scan QR Code" and scan the code displayed on Wacky Services.
- If you cannot scan, choose "Enter key manually" and input the provided code.
- The app will now generate a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds.
- Enter the current 6-digit code from your app into Wacky Services and click "Verify" or "Enable".
Step 4: Test Your 2FA Setup
- Log out of Wacky Services.
- Log in again using your username and password.
- When prompted, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
- If accepted, 2FA is fully active.
Tip: Make sure your device time is correct; 2FA codes may not work if your clock is off.
Important Notes
- Do not share your 2FA codes with anyone.
- Keep backup/recovery codes safe in case your phone is lost or reset.
- Authenticator apps generate time-based codes, so enter them quickly after generating.
